The Word of God provides a clear answer—Christians must abstain from all forms of divination and practices that lead away from the truth of the Gospel.

Horoscopes and Astrology: A Deceptive Influence

Many people turn to horoscopes and astrology to seek guidance, believing that the stars and planetary alignments influence their lives. However, the Bible explicitly warns against seeking wisdom outside of God’s Word. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Lord forbids divination, observer of times, enchanters, and wizards, calling these practices an abomination. Astrology falls under this category as it attempts to foretell the future and determine personal destiny apart from God’s sovereignty.

The prophet Isaiah rebuked Babylon for trusting in astrology, declaring that their stargazers and monthly prognosticators would fail them (Isaiah 47:13-14).
