The Gospel of John, written by the Apostle John, emphasizes Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Savior of the world. Unlike the synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), John focuses on the divinity of Christ, His eternal existence, and His role as the incarnate Word. This Gospel introduces key themes, such as light, life, and belief, and includes detailed accounts of Christ’s interactions and teachings that are pivotal for understanding His ministry and mission.
The structure of the Gospel of John is distinct and purposeful. Chapter 1 serves as an introduction, presenting Jesus as the eternal Word of God, the Creator, and the Light of the world who became flesh to dwell among us. Chapters 2–12, often referred to as the “Book of Signs,” detail the miracles of Jesus, which reveal His divine authority and inspire belief.
